Cast in Place Warranty

Jerry's Concrete Works Ltd. warrants all cast in place concrete work to the original customer for THREE years against structural cracks and scaling. We will repair the scaling area and structural issues. Pop outs, mortar flaking, honey combing (on sides due to low slump pour), minor cracks, slab curling, discoloration and crazing are excluded from this warranty. (Minor cracks are defined as less than 3/8-inch separation on any direction). Minor shrinkage and stress cracks can occur within 24 hours in rare cases. We test our concrete randomly. We do not guarantee against cracks in basement floors including structural cracking due to no reinforcing in the concrete. We do not guarantee against any ground movement.

Sealing Concrete

Concrete must be resealed in September of the first 2 years and every 2 years thereafter. Failure to apply a proper sealer voids warranty.

Corrosive Salts Discouraged

Use of corrosive material, salt or Polar Ice Melt will VOID WARRANTY. Polar Ice Melt states that their product will not damage concrete, when in fact we know it's harmful. Any product that melts ice will damage concrete. We recommend only using Kitty Litter, sand or traction grits (Rona or Home Depot), as a means of traction, as opposed to melting the ice. Since the city uses a very high content of salt in their sanding products on streets, we recommend you park in the garage or on the street during mild winter days, as salt picked up on street will drip off onto your driveway. A little care and maintenance will ensure a long lasting driveway. If my supplier and myself strongly suspects surface deterioration is due to the customer applying any corrosive materials the onus is on the customer to get the concrete tested by a qualified expert in the field. If the test results prove no salt was used we will refund the test cost and repair the area in question.
